“La Pavlova” is a biopic about the life of Anna Pavlova (1891-1931), the great Russian ballet legend. The brilliant dancer, who came from humble beginnings and rose to fame as one of the leading artists of the Imperial Russian Ballet. She founded her own company, which toured the globe, making her one of the most influential dancers of all time and after leaving Russia, made London her home for many years. She inspired artists such as Frederick Ashton (Guayaquil), Alicia Markova (London), and Uday Shankar (Rajasthan). Pavlova also formed friendships with some of the most notable figures of the early 20th century, including Charlie Chaplin.
A fashion icon of the Belle Époque, a trailblazing influencer and entrepeneur, Pavlova was alo renowned for her relentless work ethic, deep sense of social responsibility, and humanitarian dedication.
